INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS FOR IACUC APPLICATIONS

TRAINING PROGRAM

The IACUC and LARC require that all personnel who handle animals for animal research are properly trained before beginning any work with their animals. The Animal Use and Care Training Program currently includes six different components:

1) Basic Ethical and Regulatory Requirements (BRER);
2) Species-Specific Training;
3) Laboratory-Provided Training;
4) Other IACUC -Mandated Training;
5) LARC Facility orientation; and
6) Exemptions.
